
McMaster sweeps Memorial to advance to Consolation Final
Fourth-year outside hitter Sullie Sundara tallied 11 kills and seven digs as the McMaster Marauders dominated the Memorial Sea-Hawks in a 3-0 victory (25-11, 25-21, 25-12) on Saturday, in the first consolation semifinal of the 2025 U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship at the Investors Group Athletic Centre in Winnipeg.
Sundara added five aces and a pair of assists, while Anjelika Vidmar (seven kills), Olivia Julien (six) and Abby Delamere and Chayse Victoria (five each) also contributed on offence, propelling the Marauders to Sunday's consolation final.
Second Team All-Canadian Lydia Grawer led the Sea-Hawks with seven kills and seven digs, while Olivia DeDecker had six skills and 11 digs. Karen Greek registered 18 assists.
McMaster recorded a .383 hitting percentage in the match, compared to Memorial's .076.
With the victory, McMaster will play the winner of the second consolation semifinal between Saskatchewan and Saint Mary's for fifth place on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT. Memorial ends their season with an overall record of 12-15 in regular season, conference playoff and U SPORTS Championship action.
