UNB takes Dalhousie 3-0

On Saturday, September 20, the Varsity Reds beat the Tigers 3-0 in regular season play at Fredricton's BMO Feild.

In the first half, Dalhousie's Rober Engert (Ottawa, ON) was handed a yellow card in the 27th minute. This was quickly followed with a goal by UNB's Oliver Jones (London, UK) assisted by Diego Padilha (Maceió, Brazil) in the 30th minute. The first half came to a close with the Varisty Reds in a 1-0 lead to the Tigers.

The second half continued with no goals until the 84th minute when UNB's Oliver Jones scored his second goal of the game which brought the Varisty Reds to a 2-0 score.  Soon after, Dalhousie's Jeff Arkin (Bedford, NS) was given a yellow card in the 88th minute. This presented UNB with a penalty kick taken by Robert Park (Glasgow, UK) of UNB, who scored and brought the team to a 3-0 lead.

The game finished with a 3-0 win to the Varsity Reds (1-2-0) against the Tigers (1-2-0). UNB played St Mary's on the 20th with a 0-0 tie. Dalhousie played Moncton on the 20th in an away game and finished with a 5-0 win.
