1992 – Queen's 31, Saint Mary's 0

The Queen's Golden Gaels totally dominated the Saint Mary's Huskies in the 28th Vanier Cup game, posting the first and only shutout in Vanier Cup history (31-0).

Halfback Brad Elberg tied records for scoring, total touchdowns and rushing touchdowns by accounting for three major scores on runs of one, 28 and one yards. Elberg won the Ted Morris Memorial Trophy as the GEO Player of the Game by amassing 136 yards on 23 carries and adding a 20-yard reception.

Quarterback Tim Pendergast completed seven of 14 passes for 209 yards, including a 78-yard TD strike to wide receiver Brian Alford. Kicker Jamie Galloway completed the Golden Gaels’ scoring with four converts and a 22-yard field goal.

Queen's had a 393-198 yards advantage in total offence and Golden Gaels' All-Canadian tackle Eric Dell was named the Starter Canada Defensive Player of the Game.

Saint Mary's special teams’ standout Jeremy Stewart set a Vanier Cup record with 115 yards on kick-off returns.

The fourth Vanier Cup game played at Toronto's SkyDome attracted 28,645 fans.
